Beautiful! You’re Feeling Like Yourself Again!

The truth is, self-care is more than the idea of treating yourself to a spa package, or a juice detox, it’s also about your overall well-being. You would think we’d feel better by dusting our feels under the rug and move ahead but nah — been there, done that. Your feelings matter your wellness matters, your mental health matters and most importantly YOU matter. If you feel that you need to take some time to regroup, and align yourself, do it. You do not need permission or validation from ANYONE. This isn’t a tag you’re it game, you know yourself better than anyone. Don’t be afraid, nor be embarrassed to, it’s totes empowering. Plus, you could inspire someone close to you to take a look at themselves, too! Cheers to you for taking the time that you desperately needed to take care of yourself whether physically, mentally or spiritually. I see you, darling! 👏 Giving back is also a form of self-care. Now that you’re starting to feel whole again and on a much happier note, …

Dear Self: Here Are Your Gifts! — Monthly Subscriptions To Try!

I used to be a subscription box hoarder, mostly back in my food blogging days. I was the snack type. For me, this was a great way to try the latest and see what was available on the market before purchasing its full size. Cool way to think! Fast forward to a couple years, I’m subscription-free and ready to get back in the market. This time, I want it to be conscious and want to actually, incorporate something new and valuable into my routine. I like to keep things simple with my ingredient list — if I can’t pronounce you, you’re not getting in my body. Living plant-based for nine years will do that. But really, that’s ought it outta be, friends. After some super detailed research, I’ve narrowed it down to the top 4 products I’d like to #commit with and try. I have not tried these companies but would love to! Let me know if you have! Lola — $9/Month 100% Organic Cotton Tampons Delivered Right Through Your Door Sup, period talk! 👋 I used to …

Road Trips Are Essentials — It’s Time For A Ride.

In an era where all things are possible online, it can be challenging to dive outside of your routine — pack up, and go! Yes, I’m talking traveling. A misconception of traveling I used to dwell on is that traveling should be done when your place of work grants your vacation days, or after saving money because — can’t afford it. When I speak to other people about why they haven’t traveled as much, these are also the two answers that become runner-up. If you’ve read the latest posting titled “exploring your city is a form of self-care” you know that it doesn’t have to cost much to see what’s in your own backyard. I am very thankful that last year I had the chance to travel every other month with my best friend ds. Together we explored Seattle, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston, New York (2x), Athens, Georgia, and Alabama. ✈️ #jetsetters — You can learn a lot about a person through traveling. It is SO healthy to find a companion to travel with. It may sound funny to …
